"When
I think back on all the crap I learned in high school,
it's a
wonder I can think at all. "
~
Paul Simon

“Erziehung
war bis heute Zielorientiert. Was du lernst, ist unwichtig.
Wichtig ist die Prüfung....damit wird die Zukunft wichtiger
als die Gegenwart...du opferst ständig diesen Augenblick für
etwas, das nicht gegenwärtig ist. Das erzeugt eine ungeheure
Leere im Leben.”
~ Osho Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh
(1931-1990)

"A school
can be an excellent place for some children and totally unsuitable
for others."
~
Lisa
Delpit

The
need for knowledge has to be aligned in the top tier of human
needs (adapted after Maslow and Gassler). All basic needs, as
indicated in the pyramid, have to be met first to achieve
happiness, before one can concentrate on learning in school.

"I
do feel heartsick that the inequalities, if anything, are worse
today than they were when I wrote 'Savage Inequalities,' and that
segregation is now back at the point where it was when I published
my first book" ~ Jonathan Kozol (1936 -)

Should
we allow the WAR to finance our education? "each local
educational agency receiving assistance under this Act shall
provide, on a request made by military recruiters or an
institution of higher education, access to secondary school
students names, addresses, and telephone listings."

Military
Recruitment in Schools: "Recruiters are up-front about their
plans to use school lists to aggressively pursue students through
mailings, phone calls, and personal visits -- even if parents
object. "The only thing that will get us to stop contacting
the family is if they call their congressman," says Major
Johannes Paraan, head U.S. Army recruiter for Vermont and
northeastern New York. "Or maybe if the kid died, we'll take
them off our list."

"As is true for most
people I know, I’ve always loved learning. As is also true
for most people I know, I always hated school. Why is that?"
~ Derrick Jensen (1960 - )

sogenannte Erziehung macht die Menschen traurig und ernst. Und
wenn ihr ein Drittel eures Lebens in den Schulen damit vergeudet,
